As a member of the Virtual Production department at Paramount CBS VFX, one of my initial projects involved the development of a digital double of the set for the CBS comedy "Ghosts." This digital set is fully real-time, allowing our department to utilize the same asset for filming footage on our LED Virtual Production stage, as well as for rendering promotional content with consistent visual quality. This initiative was both innovative and essential, as it provided a digital version of the set that could be modified and relit in real-time, facilitating the production of additional footage and promotional materials without necessitating physical presence on set.
On this project, I was the lead Unreal Engine environment, tasked with integrating the "Ghosts" set into Unreal Engine 5. I created advanced master materials for the entire scene, incorporating complex shaders for fabrics, glass, and decals. Furthermore, I contributed to the texturing and modeling of assets, prepared and imported the models, and established the environmental layout. Additionally, I was responsible for lighting the scene using Lumen and rendering cinematics with Sequencer and the Movie Render Queue.
